Borders – Review + Giveaway

Borders

I was contacted by Borders the beginning of November and was asked to do a review and a giveaway for them.
To be quite honest, I never heard of them before, what they offered or anything.
So after I checked out their online shop, I decided SURE!  Their products looked wonderful and I know that they are something my children would enjoy.  Not just them though, everyone!  Borders offers books, toys, games, and gifts.

This wasn’t like every review I’ve done because I actually had to go IN STORE and do the review.  Of course I was thinking, GREAT!  Arkansas never has these cool stores so I will have to miss this opportunity.

When Borders publicist told me there was one in Rogers, AR I was very excited.  Rogers is about a 19 mile drive from my house and the drive was totally worth it.
So Sunday we packed the kids up in the car and headed to Penical Hills in Rogers to go to Borders.
Yes, I did take all 4 of my kids, my husband and my mom.  I didn’t want to do only a review from my stand point but I also wanted to hear what others had to say too.
When I got there, I had to go to the cashier to claim my Gift Certificate and tell her who I was, she then called the manager and I had to explain to him why I was there and what I was doing :)
So far so good!  Everyone was very nice and just a great atmosphere in general. The store was very clean and well organized, and BIG.  I couldn’t get over how big the store was and I knew I would be there for awhile.

The first thing we looked at was of course their Twilight saga.  My daughter is a huge fan so I knew this would be where the majority of the gift card would be spent on.  They had a huge selection of the Twilight Saga, not only the books, but they also had shirts, games, journals, ect.  My daughter was in Heaven!

I did walk everywhere in their store, and I looked at everything.  I wanted to be sure I took everything in.
Borders – the bookseller recently expanded its toys & games area in more than 500 stores. This holiday, Borders makes finding the perfect toy or game easier for those looking for high-quality educational gifts – like our readers. Shelves are stocked with items from leading brands like Creativity for Kids, Thinkfun, Scientific Explorer, ALEX and Blue Orange Games. These brands are known for products that foster creativity and help to build cognitive skills in children.
Borders has a spot just for kids including books, and toys as well as a little play area.  Borders is very kid friendly and this is most important to me.  I don’t like going to stores who doesn’t like kids and think they are just a bother.
My kids had alot of fun playing and reading and looking at the the toys.  Borders offers great products on their toys such as ALEX, Mellisa & Doug, Learning Resources, Spin Master & Sprig and that’s just naming a few.
Borders offers many toys and a huge selection of great learning toys for children.
The prices are absolutely wonderful and I was able to get some toys for my children to help expand their learning.
Their selection of toys and learning products for children really went above and beyond my expectations.

All the way through the store there were the workers making sure we were finding everything we were looking for.  They were all great & most friendly.  They put up with my children, so you know they’re a great place!

I was very impressed to say the least, not only is the store remarkable, but the customer service was great & I couldn’t have asked for a better shopping experience.
Oh, and they even has some delicious candy!  You know the kind of chocolate that just melts in your mouth good!
So I did get a couple of Ghirardelli Chocolates.  WOW is all I can say about that ;)

Borders came out above and beyond with their products & customer service and I was 100% satisfied with my purchases, I was able to get quite a bit with the $100 I received for review.

The best part about Borders is you can find something for everyone on your shopping list, in one place.  From adults to children.  Everyone will be thrilled with their purchase and the receivers of the gifts will enjoy your gift for years to come.

Borders is offering 2 Barefoot Mommies readers a chance to win a $100 gift certificate so YOU can see their wonderful products and new expanded Children’s line.
The gift cards will be mailed directly to the winners and in time for Christmas gift giving.

Mickey’s Magic Choo Choo by Fisher-Price – Review + Giveaway!

November 20, 2009 by admin
Filed under $25-$50, Games, Lil' Royality, Prince, Princess

Fisher-Price logo - hi-res jpeg

Here is another great product from Fisher-Price.
Do you love Mickey Mouse?  He’s an old classic and a legend all on his own.  Mickey Mouse is the kind of character we get to pass down to our children for them to love and enjoy as we did, or maybe some of us still do!
This product from Fisher Price is called Mickey’s Magic Choo Choo.
This is super fun to play and your children just have a blast watching Mickey go around and around, OR you can have him switch up his tracks as his train goes on his little way.
41R-QOcTt6L._SS400_

This toy is totally cute and tons of fun.

Young boys and girls will be “all aboard!” with amazement as Mickey’s Magic Choo Choo lays its own tracks, just like on the Disney special episode “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Rides the Choo-Choo Express!”.  When kids press the button on this magical train, it rolls forward and lays pieces of track, right in front of it, all by itself. The train will then ride over the track and magically pick it back up again as the fun “Choo Choo” song plays and Mickey speaks. Kids can shift gears for traditional on-track play, too.   $39.99/ 3+

This is a really fun toy and can get your child’s creative juices flowing.  Parents have a chance to interact with their children and watch the amazement in their child’s eyes.
I love how Mickey’s train picks up the tracks and lays it back down to keep moving forward.

Set Includes:

  • Engine
  • Car
  • Mickey Mouse figurine
  • 10 track pieces
  • 2 signs
  • Additional Information:

  • Classic Mode: Set up track and take Mickey for a ride
  • Magic Mode: Train magically picks up and lays down track
  • Choo Choo Song plays and the whistle blows!
  • Fun phrases
  • Arms on engine move
  • Adult assembly required
  • Plastic
  • Engline 5 1/2” H x 4 1/2” W x 11” L
  • Mickey figure 4” H
  • Requires 4 AA batteries, not included
  • 41oMxqUrmPL._SS400_

I really love how Mickey builds his Choo Choo track as he rides on.
I know my son absolutely loves trains, as well as my nephew so it’s a good assumption that most boys and girls, also love trains.

    Here is a small clip of what I found on the Mickey’s Magic Choo Choo;

I told ya it was small :)   But still, the fact of the matter is is that your child will enjoy playing with Mickey’s Magic Choo Choo.
This would make a wonderful Christmas gift for that special little someone in your life.

Fisher-Price would like to offer a Mickey’s Magic Choo Choo to one Barefoot Mommies Reader.

TRIO Building Set with storage by Fisher-Price – Review + Giveaway!

    November 20, 2009 by admin
Filed under $25-$50, Games, Lil' Royality, Prince, Princess

    Fisher-Price logo - hi-res jpeg

When the Holiday Season starts rolling around I really find products I’ve never seen before and just beat my expectations.  Believe it or not, even with 4 kids I really try not to hit the toy isles because I always have 4 kids who are begging for something.  I can never just go ‘look’ and see what’s new.
I’m never lucky enough to get a moment to myself….ever!
So I look online, which in return it really gives me more options and shows me what’s the hot items this year and a lot more selection.

This year I have been really impressed by Fisher-Price’s toys, and yes, I’ve always been a fan of Fisher-Price, it’s not like their new or anything ;)   But since I don’t look very often I get excited when I see a new product I know one of my kids will love, or even a child I know will love.

If you’ve never heard of this brand, you really need to check it out!
    Trio

Trio is a building blocks set that is easy to assemble and have tons and tons of play with them.  If your children love to build things then Trio would be perfect for them.  It’s for ages 3-5 but to be honest I really believe older kids can have a lot of fun with Trio as well.
    http://www.fisher-price.com/us/img/product_shots/P6838_d_1.jpg
The set I was sent is the TRIO™ Building Set with storage.  Of course what’s great about this is after play they have a nice storage case all the pieces can go into.  And HOPEFULLY you won’t be stepping on the pieces as you would with other brands LOL.
The lid of the Storage Box comes off and you can use it to start a structure and play as you can see in the above picture.
Your child’s creativity can really shine with the Trio Storage Set.
    http://www.fisher-price.com/us/img/product_shots/P6838_d_3.jpg

And plus, they will be really proud of themselves with the come up with something that is absolutely awesome!
Easy to build, so many ways! Easy-click bricks, sticks, and panels, plus a play figure, make building a “snap” for kids. They can build suggested designs, or build things all their own! Includes 100 pieces in a convenient storage tub. Great for take along play—the storage bin lid doubles as a building base! All pieces in the TRIO™ Building System work together. Collect them all and build a world of fun!
    http://www.fisher-price.com/us/img/product_shots/P6838_d_6.jpg

The rating for this toy is 5 stars!  So you know that you’re really getting a great toy that will last and teach our children motor skills, and let their creativity come out and shine.

Fisher-Price is giving one Barefoot Mommies reader a TRIO™ Building Set with storage of their own.

    :: Win It ::
Go to Fisher-Price and tell us one product that you would love to have, besides the Trio sets.

DardaToys World’s Fasted Motorized Cars! – Review & Giveaway

    November 18, 2009 by admin
Filed under $50-$100, Games, Prince, Princess

    darda

Thirty years ago, Darda blasted into the U.S. with a German-engineered motor powering its toy cars unlike anything on the market! No other brand of wind-up motor car can boast Darda’s speed and durability. The Mega-Motors ™ need no keys, no batteries and no electricity! Simply wound by hand, they’re perfect for little ones to operate! Darda motors can NOT be overwound and are good for thousands of uses. Designed for children ages 4+, Darda features cool cars and colorful play sets with flexible, interchangeable track for limitless creative stimulation and infinite play value.

Darda Cars is one of the best car playsets I have seen in a long while.
If your child loves cars, and loves to see them race, then you can bet your child will absolutely adore Darda!

This play set was so easy to assemble, and fun too!  The directions are easy to read and figure out.  It doesn’t take long at all to get it all set up and start racing.  It really had my kids’ eyes pop out, they absolutely loved it and play with it daily.
    VIctory Lane box cover

There are absolutely NO batteries required, and the structure stays as well as the racing car.

Check out this UNBELIEVABLE video I found on YouTube on the Darda Race Cars…OMGosh it’s so awesome!

    Isn’t that cool!?
    Here is the Press Release for Darda Cars;

Darda® Introduces Victory Lane NASCAR® Play Set

Milwaukee, WI (November 6, 2009)— Typical motorized toy cars are fun, for a few minutes. You know, the ones you pull back a few times to “charge” then release, and they putter forward a few feet? That’s not the case with Darda® toy cars.
The unique, German-designed motor contains a special clutch preventing the motor from being over-wound. Simply roll the Darda car with a back and forth motion while lightly pressing down on the car. The clicking sounds tell you the motor is winding; when the clicks get louder, you know it’s fully wound and ready to go. Release the car and watch it shoot forward at up to 30 mph- with no batteries or electricity needed! When properly used, Darda motors can last for thousands of uses.
Just in time for the holiday season, Darda is introducing a new NASCAR® branded play set, Victory Lane. This play set features two NASCAR heroes, Jeff Gordon® and Jimmie Johnson®, in their trademark DuPont and Lowe’s branded cars.
Kids can set up the 60+ piece Victory Lane track, and race each other using the two Darda NASCAR cars. They’ll watch as each car races through twists and turns at a scale speed of 600 mph! As cars round the final curve onto the Victory Lane straightaway, a checkered flag is set up and ready to signal the winner.
    Victory Lane • $64.99 • Ages 4+
Go racing with Jeff Gordon® and Jimmie Johnson® with two Ultra Speed™ Darda cars. The set comes with over 60 race track pieces, which can be set up in a variety of track styles. Instructions are included for three track variations, or create your very own race track from the included pieces! No batteries or electricity needed. Full track size is 53” x 25” x 12.5”
Darda cars were introduced more than three decades ago in Germany, and they made their way to the U.S. shortly after that. Since then, young children all across the world have been enjoying these simple hand-wound cars.
There’s a wide selection of Darda cars available online at www.dardatoys.com. The selection isn’t limited to NASCAR tracks and cars though; Darda also offers a glow-in-the-dark track set and a wide selection of other cars– from a Formula 1 Darda car, to Porsches and Cameros.
    About Darda
Darda is a division of Wm. K. Walthers, Inc., based in Milwaukee (& Baltimore). It’s a 78-year-old family owned and operated business, primarily focused on model trains but also manufactures racing products (Darda & Life-Like Racing). See more information on the company at www.walthers.com.

This is absolutely amazing, and I will be purchasing extra track for the Darda® Victory Lane NASCAR® Play Set we were able to review.  It’s just simply amazing and tons of fun for children 4+.  Not only for boys, but the girls can also have tons of fun playing with this toy.
    Even us parents ;)

Darda wants to offer a chance for one Barefoot Mommies reader to win the Victory Lane set I reviewed (http://bit.ly/41XgJd), which is priced at $64.99, or if you prefer, the Power Loop Pyramid, (http://bit.ly/1Procq), which has a retail value of $69.99.

McNeill Designs for Brighter Minds – Review + Giveaway!

    November 12, 2009 by admin
Filed under $0-$25, Games, King, Prince, Princess, Queen, Stocking Stuffers

    McNeillDesigns

I love playing games, especially when my whole family can sit and enjoy eachother’s company.  I especially love to beat my husband at games :)   heh.  He gets so mad and I think it’s so funny!
One of McNeill Designs for Brighter Minds games is called ‘You’ve Been Sentenced!’ this is an absolutely FUN game!  My husband, 12 year old daughter and myself played this game.  My other 3 kids are too young, so we played when they were in bed.  We had so much fun playing this game.  It’s really easy to understand and come up with actual sentences.  Some of the sentences we came up with we were laughing so hard.  This is a very unique game, and not only is it really fun, but it’s also a great learning tool.

For ages 8 and up, 30-40 min to play, 3-10 players, with extensive rule variations available on the website.(Click Here)

The latest in the evolution of games, “You’ve been Sentenced!” is the first game in history to really turn making sentences into a very funny, playable, and challenging game. Using a unique word deck of pentagon shaped cards containing conjugations of funny words, famous names from throughout history, familiar places, and wild cards, players have to make grammatically correct and justifiable sentences. The real fun begins when players have to read their sentences out loud and explain what they mean to the rest of players. They form the jury and vote thumbs up or down on whether the sentence and justification stand and the points are scored. 540 cards with over 2,500 words insure billions of possible sentences so the game is never repetitive and has unlimited re-play value.

Multiple other methods of play are available on our website that turn “You’ve been Sentenced!” into not just a game, but a full game system! We even have a lesson plan to turn “You’ve Been Sentenced!” into a classroom teaching tool. This game makes learning grammar and sentence construction fun and easy.

    http://www.ybsgame.com/images/img_ybs_left.jpg

Here is a clip of the game in action.

What is also great about this game is that not only is it kid friendly and you can play with your older children, but it can also be a GREAT party game for adults.  You can get more riskier with your sentences, it can be a drinking game ;) It doesn’t have to remain PG.  YOU make it how you want to play it.
Of course it takes a little imagination, but it is alot of fun.  I give this game an A+, I was really happy with the different ways we can play it, with adults, and with our children, plus it’s a wonderful learning tool for our children too!

    Bringing friends and families together
“You’ve Been Sentenced!” appeals to all ages and skill levels. Socially interactive, players become members of the Jury and can ask a player to justify and defend the grammar, sense and meaning of the sentence. The player has a chance to convince the Jury to accept their often outrageous and hilarious sentences.

    Holding all the cards
“You’ve Been Sentenced!” is not just a single game. It’s a “Game System”, with numerous additional games and activities for the basic set available free of charge at our rules page.

    Never the same game twice
A word deck with over 2,500 individual words, plus Wild Cards, ensures an infinite number of sentences, guaranteeing maximum re-play value. You’ve Been Sentenced!” offers unlimited play, without ever becoming stale or repetitive.

PLUS, there are add on decks you can use.  These are extremely cool as well!

    I was also sent one more game to review, it’s called Twisted Fish;
    http://www.ybsgame.com/images/leftimg_twistedfish.jpg

For Ages 8 and up, 30-40 min, 3-6 players

The old game of go fish just got a very challenging twist. It isn’t child’s play any more! Twisted Fish takes a traditional standby and casts it into the 21st century.

13 unique Fish characters in five different colors, plus 8 unique “Zingers” that allow you to break the rules, makes “Twisted Fish” a unique game experience. The real challenge takes place when asking for the fish cards you are collecting—Now you have to be specific about the type of fish and color you are seeking. “Twisted Fish” challenges you to remember every question asked at the table. It is challenging and fun right down to the very last card!

We promise you’ll fall hook, line, and sinker! Twisted Fish offers laugh-out-loud fun for the entire family.

Will you be the family card shark? Or will you be the lowly shrimp?

    • Twisted Fish’s game play takes the traditional game of Go Fish and adds new, essential twists. The familiarity of the rules allow for quick learning.
    • Unique Zinger cards ensure that the game is always exciting and fresh.
    • Developed by toy and game veteran Martin Uniacke and Hollywood special-effects artist Jody Fedele.
    • Humorous, original illustrations created by Jody Fedele keep players laughing at the fishy antics of an aquarium full of comical characters.
    • Suitable for ages 8 and up. The whole family will love Twisted Fish for its hilarious game play and outrageous characters.
    • Cultivates memory skills as players track cards that “swim” around the table from player to player.
    • Both Skill and Luck are needed, making it fun for all ages and skill levels.

This game was also alot of fun.  My daughter & my niece took the game to play one night when they were suppose to be in bed!  I caught them of course, but let them continue to play because they were having so much fun.  As long as they are doing something productive I am all for it.

I have always loved Go Fish, even now ;)   With Twisted Fish it gives you more of a challenge and just makes the whole game much more funner to play.  I let my son who’s 7 play with us as well, and he enjoyed it too and was easy enough for him to understand which is great!  This game was funny and just an all around great game to play with the whole family.  A perfect game to add to anyone’s wish list, stocking stuffer, or a game for Family Game Night!
And priced at just $10 you can’t beat it!

Okay this is about the coolest toy I’ve ran across!
Spin Master makes some of the coolest toys I’ve seen.  Things for both boys & girls and very innovative.  I’m not going to go through each of them on one post, simply because I have surprises for ‘almost’ all of them.
But right now I want you to look at what I think is one of the best toys!  So creative!
I totally wanted to get my son this last year (well, not this one but the older model) but I couldn’t afford it.
I was lucky enough to get this baby to review for my son!
    Take a look at this video;

It actually does follow the laser, you just point the laser and the car follows.  It’s really awesome and this isn’t something JUST for boys, my daughters are in ‘awe’ of it too.

Air Hogs Zero Gravity Laser the all surface remote control car that can drive on any flat surface including the floor, up walls, even upside down on the ceiling.  The Laser Zero Gravity has an innovative new type of control too – a laser.  Just point and shoot the laser and the Zero Gravity Micro will follow it wherever it goes.

    Image9
    Package includes:
    • One Laser Zero Gravity
    • One controller/charger
    Batteries: 1 Lipo, 6AA

    Air Hogs Laser Zero Gravity

This is going to be a hot toy this year.  Hours of fun, light weight yet very sturdy.  Doesn’t fall off the wall or ceiling like you think it would.  I would 100% purchase this toy for my son, or daughter.

This by far gets the ‘ooh’s and awwe’s’ we’re wanting this Holiday Season.  Reasonably priced too as Suggested Retail is $39.99!

It’s really awesome, something that will keep your child well entertained for any amount of time.  The Air Hogs Zero Gravity Laser will also keep everyone in your household entertained and I can almost guarantee everyone is going to want to play with it.  But be ready for some arguing because that’s what I got lol.

Okay so time for the good news!  Spin Master is offering one Barefoot Mommies reader to win an Air Hogs Laser Zero Gravity to give to one lucky child this Christmas!

    Peaceable Kingdom Press

    October 25, 2009 by admin
Filed under $0-$25, Games, Lil' Royality, Prince, Princess, Stocking Stuffers

    header_01

Peaceable Kingdom Press creates high-quality cards and gifts for kids. Our products feature the art from classic children’s books, contemporary artists and unique children’s properties. We are dedicated to offering items that nourish children’s hearts, eyes, and funny bones. All of our products are original and fun! You can find our products in gift stores, toy stores, and bookstores throughout the U.S. and Canada.

The company was started 25 years ago by Olivia and Thacher Hurd. Thacher is the son of renowned children’s book illustrator Clement Hurd who illustrated the classic picture books Goodnight Moon and Runaway Bunny. One day, back in 1983, Clement made a painting based on the art from Goodnight Moon and asked Olivia and Thacher if they wanted to sell it as a poster. They printed 1,000 posters, sold it to stores in Berkeley, CA and a company was born. That Goodnight Moon poster is still in the line today.

I love finding new and interesting products from different companies.  I like the different items that they carry and something that can really spark my children’s imaginations.  Peaceable Kingdom Press offers tons of products that helps teach our children through games and interactive play.  I am pretty pleased at their selection.
    Here is a little about each product I was sent to review;
    Fish Stix;

    http://pkpress.com/images/products/games/gm101.jpg

This game is really fun to play for ages 6-12, but to be honest, I’m a little passed 12 years old and I loved playing.  Yes!  I did say a LITTLE!  Me, my kids and husband played this together the other night and we had alot of fun.

Fish Stix is a visual strategy game. To start, players place 1 fish stick in the center of a table where all players can reach it. Give 3 sticks, 1 scoreboard, and 6 fish tokens to each player. Players take turns matching fish by color and direction. For every fish matched, a player moves her fish tokens that number of spaces on her scoreboard. The first player to move all tokens to 10 wins!

    Why we love this game:

Though the game says Ages 6-12, this game can be played by adults and younger children too. We’ve watched a 14-year-old get clobbered by an 8-year old and we’ve played with families where preschoolers team up with parents. This game was developed by the creator of Qwirkle ™ – if you love Qwirkle ™, you’ll love Fish Stix!

My two oldest really enjoyed it as well as my husband and myself.  It gave us some family time for us to spend together and have a good time, with NO fighting too.

The next product we were able to review is Funny Faces Sticker Tote.

    http://pkpress.com/images/products/stickers/sp28.jpg
All of my children enjoyed playing with this, they made some really crazy faces and really let their imagination fly.  This is something I am putting in my car for long trips, the Funny Faces Sticker Tote kept them happy for a very long period of time so that will be our next adventure, taking this with us on a long drive!
It’s very cute, I also got into the action :p

Great on-the-go package lets kids and families take this item in the car, on a plane, into a restaurant, or anywhere you might want an engaging activity that’s easy to start and easy to clean up. Just toss everything back into the handy carry-along tote! Play for a few minutes or a few hours. Reusable cling stickers make this an activity kids will go back to again and again.

    Learning Skills;

    • Hand-eye coordination
    • Imaginative play

The next review item was Silly Animals 4 Up!
    http://pkpress.com/images/products/games/cg4.gif

This is also another great game for you to play with the kids.  Or again, on long trips your children can play in the car.
What I love about this game is it actually grows with your children and it is alot of fun.
As the players age, so does the challenge of the game. Which means the game can be played for years! Kids don’t even know they are learning math because they have so much fun playing the game. Great for home, great for the classroom, great for anytime you want game time to count!

4 Up! basic game – deal 4 cards to each player and lay 4 cards out on the table. Take turns matching cards from your hand with cards on the table. Add math and you’ve got a challenge game perfect for kids 5 and up. Deal 4 cards to each player and lay 4 down. Match 1 card in your hand with 1 or more cards on the table that add up to the number of the card in your hand. For example, if you have a 9 in your hand you can pick up a 9 from the table or you can pick up a 7 and a 2 or a 5 and a 4 or any combination that adds up to the number of the card in your hand. The player with the most cards wins!

This is about a 15 minute game, but be careful!  Once the game is over the kids will want to play again and again!
I love how simple it is to learn and teach to the kids too!

Another product is Animal.Color Match Up Game.
Very fun!  I played this with my youngest daughter Kyria and we played while her brother & sisters were at school so we can have some ‘alone’ time together.
    http://pkpress.com/images/products/games/mg4.jpg

This was quite fun actually, and I was so proud of her.  I think sometimes as parents we don’t know how smart our kids really are, not common sense smart, but book smart.  I guess it’s because she has 3 older siblings but she did fantastic!
Simple Match Game which is always a true hit with children. Plus, it’s a wonderful learning tool.

Game includes instructions for 2 versions – a simple face-up match up game for the youngest players and a more complicated memory match up for older children making this a game that lasts for years. A great learning tool that helps children learn to take turns and recognize similarities. Parents can use this game to teach animals, words, colors, and more!

Youngest players can play face up match up – place the cards face up on a table or smooth surface. Have a grown up call out the match. For instance, “Can you find two blue porcupines?” Children can take turns or compete to see who finds the match fastest. For a more challenging game, turn over the cards and play a memory concentration game. Try to make matches by turning over 2 cards. If it’s a match, take the cards. If it’s not a match, turn them back over in the same place in the game. Pay attention and keep your memory tuned!  A challenging puzzle keeps the fun going for years to come.

There was also one more item that was sent to me, which is pretty cool!
It’s called Get Going,  America Game Time!
    http://pkpress.com/images/products/games/ap10.jpg
This is a fantastic pack that is especially for those long boring road trips!
You can have 1 or 2 players which is perfect for my 2 oldest, instead of fighting and arguing the WHOLE way somewhere, they can actually enjoy eachothers company.  My, the thought!  Ahhh…
It’s an adventurous ride through the back roads of America – and great games that keep young travelers busy for hours. Book opens with a lay-flat binding so it’s easy to write, easy to wipe, and easy to play again and again! It’s packed with lots of activities and is a simple, everything-included, take-along tote for waiting rooms, restaurants, planes, back seats, and any time there’s down time!

Pick a pen and play! It’s as easy as that! Each page has instructions so kids know exactly what to do. Some games are for 1 player, some for 2. Many games can be played again and again and all of them are dry-erase. So get going and pass the book around and see who can uncover the most fun! Activities include: Break the Code, Nim, Word Find, Magic Numbers, Hangman, mazes, and more!

I told the lady from Peaceable Kingdom Press to pick some items out that she thought my children would enjoy.  She did a fantastic job and I enjoyed the products as much as my children have.

Peaceable Kingdom Press also wants to do a giveaway with us!
One winner will receive the Funny Faces Sticker Tote
One winner will receive the Get Going, America Game Time!
