iPod nano Review

Here’s one of the hottest items this year, and maybe I am being biased but if you guys have not looked into the iPod nano, you’re really missing out.  I’m going to tell you a bit about it!

iPod sent me an iPod nano for review along with some wonderful iTunes gift cards.
The color I picked of course was pink, but the other colors you can pick from are, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, gray, black and of course pink

As always, the sound on iPod is just above any other, the iPod nano is no different, it sounds wonderful, it even has an AM/FM radio.  My daughter & I share the iPod nano, but I must say she uses it more than myself, but that’s only because she steals it from me and then hides it!

Borders – Review + Giveaway

I was contacted by Borders the beginning of November and was asked to do a review and a giveaway for them.
To be quite honest, I never heard of them before, what they offered or anything.
So after I checked out their online shop, I decided SURE!  Their products looked wonderful and I know that they are something my children would enjoy.  Not just them though, everyone!  Borders offers books, toys, games, and gifts.

This wasn’t like every review I’ve done because I actually had to go IN STORE and do the review.  Of course I was thinking, GREAT!  Arkansas never has these cool stores so I will have to miss this opportunity.

When Borders publicist told me there was one in Rogers, AR I was very excited.  Rogers is about a 19 mile drive from my house and the drive was totally worth it.
So Sunday we packed the kids up in the car and headed to Penical Hills in Rogers to go to Borders.
Yes, I did take all 4 of my kids, my husband and my mom.  I didn’t want to do only a review from my stand point but I also wanted to hear what others had to say too.
When I got there, I had to go to the cashier to claim my Gift Certificate and tell her who I was, she then called the manager and I had to explain to him why I was there and what I was doing
So far so good!  Everyone was very nice and just a great atmosphere in general. The store was very clean and well organized, and BIG.  I couldn’t get over how big the store was and I knew I would be there for awhile.

The first thing we looked at was of course their Twilight saga.  My daughter is a huge fan so I knew this would be where the majority of the gift card would be spent on.  They had a huge selection of the Twilight Saga, not only the books, but they also had shirts, games, journals, ect.  My daughter was in Heaven!

I did walk everywhere in their store, and I looked at everything.  I wanted to be sure I took everything in.
Borders – the bookseller recently expanded its toys & games area in more than 500 stores. This holiday, Borders makes finding the perfect toy or game easier for those looking for high-quality educational gifts – like our readers. Shelves are stocked with items from leading brands like Creativity for Kids, Thinkfun, Scientific Explorer, ALEX and Blue Orange Games. My kids had alot of fun playing and reading and looking at the the toys.  Borders offers great products on their toys such as ALEX, Mellisa & Doug, Learning Resources, Spin Master & Sprig and that’s just naming a few.
Borders offers many toys and a huge selection of great learning toys for children.
The prices are absolutely wonderful and I was able to get some toys for my children to help expand their learning.
Their selection of toys and learning products for children really went above and beyond my expectations.

All the way through the store there were the workers making sure we were finding everything we were looking for.  They were all great & most friendly.  They put up with my children, so you know they’re a great place!

I was very impressed to say the least, not only is the store remarkable, but the customer service was great & I couldn’t have asked for a better shopping experience.
Oh, and they even has some delicious candy!  You know the kind of chocolate that just melts in your mouth good!
So I did get a couple of Ghirardelli Chocolates.  WOW is all I can say about that

Borders came out above and beyond with their products & customer service and I was 100% satisfied with my purchases, I was able to get quite a bit with the $100 I received for review.

The Matchbox Rocky The Robot Truck Vehicle is awesome!  It actually dances which is so funny & cute.

Totally cute!  It’s for ages 3+ and I plan on giving the one I reviewed to my son for Christmas.  Of course while he was in school I played with it for a little while to see what my thoughts on it were, and I am impressed to say the least.
This is another really fun & interactive toy that will engage my child and have a ball.  Now, if it were to help him actually CLEAN up after himself…WoooHooo!  But yeah, seriously doubt it LOL.
But he’ll have fun making more of a mess

Plus Rocky also goes to sleep next to them, which will help those little boys who are not to sure about the dark.  They will have their friend right next with him, maybe as their little ‘protector’.

Rocky The Robot Truck retails for $59.99 which is a great price for it.
It’s a lot of fun, and if you by chance see it in the store, really check it out and consider it.  It’s pretty awesome to say the least!

Roku – Review + Giveaway

Adorable Kinders – Review + Giveaway

Talk about the most cutest ‘Rag dolls’ I’ve ever seen!  Adorable Kinders are simply wonderful.
I was given a doll to review and to be honest, most ‘rag dolls’ are pretty small, so when I opened the box I was surprised at the size of the doll.  She was STUNNING.  I received Mari (Which is also the name of the Mid-Wife who delivered all of my kids).  She is just beautiful.  A soft body wrapped in the most gorgeous red dress.  I am saving this doll for Kyria for Christmas so I had to hurry and snap a picture of her in the box, I don’t want her out just yet.  I know Kyria is going to absolutely love her.
This is Mari, and she is more beautiful up close than in the picture.

I want to share the story about how Adorable Kinders was started.  This brought tears to my eyes and just makes me love this company even more.  This remarkable woman is beyond generous, kind and has a huge heart.
I couldn’t find the information on the site, but I received an informative on how Adorable Kinders was started.  Please take the time to read this, it may very well touch your heart as it did mine.

Aranza made her first doll for her baby sister when she was just 16 years old.  Everyone loved the doll and many people asked her to make one for them.  She loved to design and create.  Each doll was better than the last.  Over time while raising her 3 children and working in different careers such as school teacher, clay artisan and Senior Software Engineer for an aerospace company, Aranza created an entire concept for educating children while having fun using cartoon characters that match the dolls and fun computer games for small children to play.

Ivan was Aranza’s eldest child and her most supportive partner in her quest.  After high school. he was devoted to making the educational adorable dolls a success.  Together they worked relentlessly making the dolls and testing the market in local malls and trade shows.  Just as their ideas and efforts seemed to be coming together, God called Ivan home.  Ivan had a very rare heart condition that had gone unnoticed.  He died while riding his bicycle on the way home from work.  Ivan was only 24 years old.  Aranza put everything away.

I came into the picture a couple years later.  After being together for some time, Aranza showed me one of the dolls.  She made it as a birthday gift for the daughter of a friend.  I’m not exactly what you would call a “doll-friendly guy” but her doll was absolutely adorable.  When I saw the reaction from everyone, literally everyone, that held this doll, I knew it was very special.  Aranza and I talked about it for more than a year before she decided to try it again.  This would be Ivan’s legacy.

We refined the ideas, the doll characters, and the clothes.  We created the interactive cartoons school and dubbed it the “eSchool”.  We decided to manufacture the, ourselves here in the United States instead of sending them overseas.  We wanted to create local jobs and do something to help our homeland economy.

In 2007 we started.  Several design changes, misfortunes, miracles, tragedies and celebrations later, including Whoopi Goldberg and the ABC Show The View, Dwight Howard and the NBA playoffs, planes, trains, and automobiles, and thanks to family, friends and angels, we now have a factory running full steam in Florida and some wonderful products that appear to be in high demand.

If not for Ivan and his mother’s deam, we would not be here today and thousands of children would not be enjoying the lifetime keepsakes we create.  The Adorable Kinders are truly Ivan’s Legacy.

This was truly a remarkable story that touched my heart, and this is a wonderful legacy for a child to leave behind and help the mother grow and be thankful.

You can tell that these dolls are made with love, each and everyone of them.  You can see it in the work placed into each doll.  The dolls aren’t heavy, but they aren’t cheaply made.  They do have a little heaviness to them but they are cuddly soft and perfect for little hands to carry around.

The Adorable Kinders are very high quality soft-dolls (true rag dolls) exclusively designed for GRANZA, Inc. by famed artisan Aranza Zamora. The fundamental theme of the Adorable Kinders collection is an active group of kindergarten friends.  Each student has been designed with a different personality in mind. The name of each character begins with a unique letter from the English alphabet. ‘A’ is Alise, ‘B’ is Brittany, ‘C’ is Christy, and so on.
Each doll comes with an internet key-code that may be used to register online at the “Adorable Kinders eSchool”. There children can play educational games that make learning fun (Preschool and grades K-6).  When all of the games for a grade level are successfully completed, the child graduates to the next grade. Children can sleep comfortably with Adorable Kinders rag dolls.  They have been engineered for durability while eliminating the uncomfortable hard plastic heads and extremities that other dolls have. They are 100% soft cloth rag dolls. Adorable Kinders rag dolls come dressed in a removable colorful outfit with separate underwear, socks and shoes.  The clothes are interchangeable from one doll to another. Both the Adorable Kinders rag dolls and their clothes are all washable! Additional clothing outfits and accessories are available and may be purchased separately.  New designs of seasonal and holiday apparel and accessories will introduced each year. I use the iPod docking station daily, I absolutely adore the sound.  I love that I can also charge my iPod on it.  It can become a hassle sometimes to charge it on the computer, so to have somewhere else I can charge it is awesome.
It also has a very sleek design and doesn’t take up very much space at all.  It sits nicely on my not so big desk!
